Southern African Leaders Coalition

Faith, Freedom and Justice

A coalition of faith, legal and civil society leaders across Southern Africa, united to defend religious liberty, fair trial rights, and the God-given dignity of every human being.

Our foundation

What we stand for

Our work rests on three enduring commitments that guide every statement, advocacy effort and act of solidarity.

Faith & Freedom

Defending the right of every person to worship freely and live according to conscience.

Justice & Due Process

Advocating for fair trials, transparent courts and the rule of law across the region.

Human Dignity

Protecting the vulnerable from arbitrary detention and the abuse of state power.

Inaugural Initiative

Initial Focus

As its inaugural initiative, the Coalition is issuing a Joint Statement calling for fair trial rights, humane treatment, and respect for due process in relation to the continued pre-trial detention of a religious leader in the Republic of Korea. The statement reflects the Coalition's commitment to advocating for justice, the rule of law, and the protection of fundamental human rights through peaceful and lawful means.
